Part A (Hospital Insurance)

Practically all Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled in Part A, which covers inpatient services, hospitalizations, skilled nursing facility stays, some home health services, and hospice care.

For those who must pay a Part A premium, it is up to $443 per month
Inpatient Hospital:
$1,068 per benefit period

Skilled Nursing:
None
Inpatient Hospital:
$267 per day for days 61-90
$534 per lifetime reserve day for days 91-150 (nonrenewable)
All costs per benefit period after day 150 (lifetime reserve days)

Skilled Nursing:
$0 per day for days 1-20
$133.50 per day for days 21-100
All costs per benefit period after day 100

Home Health
No cost to patient
